It also has great deals of jatropha curcas trees, whose seeds have abundant quantities of an oil considered to hold terrific promise as a biofuel.
Creating a bioenergy production design based on the nation’s own biological resources
A database of biological resource data to Jatropha will be constructed and appropriate varieties will be established. Moreover, in this arid area that undergoes winter, efforts will be made to establish a growing system that is versatile with respect to environment modification. The job will work to construct a sustainable bioenergy production design utilizing plant genetic resources that are indigenous to Botswana.
